Artemis, with her roots in the earth, is the huntress and protector of the wild things of the forest. She is the archetypal symbol of freedom and independence. My work in the various media of drawing, painting, sculpture and collage is inspired by forms in nature, memories, the remembered shapes and colors of landscape, including architecture and the connections between earth and sky.
