Working in sculpture, painting, and monotypes
Langston frequently brings her mixed media art together as installations.
Much of her work is inspired from childhood memories of growing up in
Eastern North Carolina. A series of paintings and monoprints exploring
"The Light in the Tobacco Barn" was featured in a one person show at the
Greenville Museum of Art, Greenville, NC and at Gallery 10. Roots and horse
bits are other subjects Langston has explored in her art.
Using shredded paper and "Caution" tape, her installation work
(see Prague Travelling Exhibition image) explores contemporary themes
of identity theft, elimination of information in cases of corporate
and government corruption, and the constant warnings in many aspects
of our lives.
Langston's work has been included in numerous national and
international exhibitions plus eleven solo shows. She has received several
awards for her work. Contact MVVision@aol.com.
