For a very long time I have been exploring the theme of nature in my sculptures. They have taken the form of animals, insects, birds, fish and vegetation, as well as components of the human image. I like mixing fiber, fabric, paper, wire, with welded steel armatures. For the past 15 years I have been creating environmental installations by assembling many of my handmade pieces together with real objects such as branches, doors, windows and fences. Most recently the room filled installations have scaled down to imaginative vegetation and the small creatures that inhabit them. I hope that the unsettling scale of larger than life insects will provoke a reaction. Finally the link between man and his natural environment are important to me.
