	Exhibition March 3 - 27, 2004 Claudia Vess IMPRINT Monotypes and Sculptures  Reception: Friday, March 5, 6 - 8 pm The images of these new monotype print Suites by CCVess were created with moveable found-object elements. Each suite has a theme and each print is a unique variation. The progressive transformation from one print to the next can be most easily seen in Detente, where compositional relationships unfold through twelve variations to an accord of forms. Within the images, imprinted debossing of the moveables adds subtle dimension. Other suites on view are Currents, conjuring natural forces, the Black Suite, simultaneously delicate and bold, and the first imprints of Addresses. Minimalist assemblage sculptures round out the show. The impressed styrofoam and the forms within the prints resonate like cousins. Read more about the artist.
